About
The story behind the byline.
Obah Sylva is a digital professional based in Abuja, Nigeria, working at the intersection of journalism, SEO strategy, and web development. It started at the editing desk — cleaning up copy, tightening headlines, and asking one uncomfortable question over and over: if this story is so good, why isn’t anyone reading it?
That question led straight into SEO — search intent, technical audits, and the unglamorous plumbing that decides whether Google ever shows your page to anyone. And SEO led straight into development, because no amount of keyword research fixes a website that takes eight seconds to load on a Nigerian mobile connection.
Today, that full loop — write it well, build it fast, get it found — is the whole business.
Mission
To make Nigerian brands and newsrooms impossible to miss online.
- Journalism background — I write and structure content the way both Google and real readers actually respond to.
- Technical + editorial hybrid — I can audit your Core Web Vitals in the morning and edit your lead story by lunch.
- Nigeria-first thinking — mobile data costs, local search behaviour, and building for Nigerian audiences shape every recommendation.
- One point of contact — no handoffs between an SEO guy, a dev guy, and a content guy. Just one desk, three skills.
Let's build your visibility.
Whether it’s a stalled website, a search ranking that won’t budge, or a newsroom that needs a sharper edit desk — let’s talk about it.
